About the Society of Hematologic Oncology

aboutThe Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO) was established as a non-profit corporation in 2012 with aims to promote worldwide research, education, prevention, clinical studies and optimal patient care in all aspects of hematologic malignancies and related disorders. Since that time, nearly 3,000 members have joined the society from around the globe.

SOHO is led by a Board of Directors with eight voting members. In addition, an outstanding group of clinician-scientists have been assembled to serve on the Steering Committee to provide guidance and direction in the continued development of SOHO.

Two additional committees, Scientific and Education, are responsible for abstract review and the scientific program of the annual meetings, respectively. Members of these groups are listed on the 'Committees' webpage.

The sixth annual meeting of SOHO took place on September 12-15, 2018 in Houston with great success—more than 1,400 physicians and related professionals attended the 3.5-day event. The seventh annual meeting is scheduled for September 11-14, 2019 at the Hilton Americas in Houston (see meetings).

Clinical Lymphoma, Myeloma & Leukemia,” a peer-reviewed journal published by Elsevier, is the official journal of SOHO. It is available online free-of-charge to SOHO members and at a discounted rate in printed form (see journal).
